The human Jesus, the One we read about in John 1:14 and Colossians 1:12 is the Jesus and definition of that we find irresistable. This same Jesus who ate with prostitutes, lowlifes, the wrong crowd in general, also played with little children. Never did He kick someone while they were down. To the screw-up He called while they were still screwed up. To the condemned He still called while they were condemned. To the unfaithful He still called while they were unfaithful.
The Spirit, Who is this same Jesus lives within each of us who love Him.
Know that when you say to yourself "Wow, I got that wrong", "I should have acted better", "I did this again", "I am so tired of doing this", that Jesus remains in you during and after. The same Jesus that calls unfaithful Peter and lifts up whorish Mary, calls to me.
I didn't love Him and He died for me. I didn't change and He died for me. I didn't act and He died for me. I did nothing to gain more love and haven't done anything that caused me to be loved less. I am sure this same Jesus lives inside me. In the shadows of my shortcomings I have begun to hear His call. To quote a line from An Arrow Pointing To Heaven I hear "the same song He sings over me in the morning echoed by Him in the evening".
