"Wasted paint is paint wasted." -Poor Old Lu
Soooo. Procreate is a cool app. Procreate Pocket is a version for the iphone. Art is something That used to occupy most of my time as a kid and teenager. But at some point in high school my art teacher killed any passion for art when she accused a work I did of being a tracing. It wasn't though it was a pencil copy of a picture someone else made.
There isn't any real secret to art. Draw what you see; either with your eyes or your mind. If it doesn't look right change it. And it doesn't matter if the art you or I make is an original idea ot not. Don't plagarize. Give credit where credit is due. Above is a Bob Ross idea. I used a stylus and iphone rather than paint and and a sponge brush. I intend on making more like this but with custom brushes and hopefully I'll be expressing me rather than just copying Bob Ross(not sure that would be a bad thing).
Creating something new and expressive is valuable to people around you. It can create a connection that otherwise wouldn't be made or convey an emotion we feel stuck with inside. The tools, medium, and method aren't really important if your missing the joy from having created the thing itself. It goes even further than that if we let it, God enjoys what He has created and expresses it with Jesus.
Thats quite a note to end on. I believe it; it's what compels me to get closer. God not only loves me but likes me. The Master Artist Who is the originator of all my passions and never ceases to stroke His on me, His "canvas", His creation, His likeness. Shortcomings aren't an issue as He has fully expressed Himself in the person of Jesus. Colossians 1:15
Jehovah, Sar Shalom. Caad, chalaph.
